Sony Xperia Z3 Style Cover Window SCR24 screen scratches/scratch

Here's my story. I'm trying to find out if more people have the same problem. Right now, Sony can't do anything for me.

I've bought the Style Cover Window SCR24 for Xperia Z3. I'm using it for a month now and a few days back I noticed my screen had very light scratches in the middle of the screen where the 'smart window' is. Top and bottom of the screen are completely scratch free but in the middle there are scratches in the square where the smart cover is.

I am very upset about this. I paid 47 euro's for a cover to protect it from scratches but the Sony Style Cover does a very poor job at it.
1. It doesn't cover all the edges
2. It doesn't close properly (no magnet or other mechanism to keep it closed
3. The smart window is actually scratching my screen.

Sony cannot do anything for me. They say it's 'because of daily use' and say it's caused by dust or sand that got between the screen and cover. I do not accept this answer because I am pretty sure the scratches are caused BY THE SMART WINDOW COVER and not by sand or dust particles. It's very poorly made and I wish I never paid almost 50 euro's for it.

Anyone else experiencing these problems?

I will update this thread with some foto's soon and I removed the smart cover and will buy another case to protect it.

I have the same issue!

I've also bought the style cover to prevent getting scratches ons my screen. After a week I already noticed some scratches on my screen. And the same as you, only in the middle. Luckely I have a screenprotector, but still....

I've emailed Sony about this, but they wouldn't do anything about it. They did say I should send my phone to them for repair/investigation. But its not worth missing my phone for a couple of weeks. And besides, a new screenprotector and a good cover will solve the problem!

I am a bit dissapointed in Sony with their costumer friendlyness.... Mostly because they don't seem to beleive my story (most emails I get back look auto generated for the most part).
