Hi guys I've had my z2 for two weeks now and I noticed that my battery life is quite poor. I have already activated all the power saving tools the phone comes with but to no success. I called Sony and they asked me to plug my phone into my computer and update the new software in which I did. They also told to to disable a few auto update but the main source or drainage is coming from my screen which is set to full and "Adapt to Lighting Conditions" I'm loosing about 3% when the phone is on within 20 minuets without doing anything and when watching a video or running an app it's about 1% in 5 min. Please help or I'll return the phone in exchange for a new one.
PS My screen is buring between 70 to 83% everytime I check it.
Thanks
I switched off my nfc but wifi still enabled. My network is on WCDMA/GSM. I haven't used it in the last 3 hours as much as before.
It starts to look better. Also, how is your 3G coverage?
No 3g, no calls recieved or anything. Just email, and facebook used all day.
Ok guys the last thing I can do is try to charge it from the charger and cable it came with. I've been using an old cable and charger which was my wife's sony xperia U. it's literally is the same thing but I read somewhere that since the Z2 has a bug battery the new charger is a little different? not sure but worth a shot.
Your screen usage is pretty high dont you think.......just looked at mine & it is only around 30%...i have the Adjust To Brightness enabled, my Android OS is quite high at 29% but that is because i use different Launchers...
Yes but my screen is on auto bightness and it's adjusted to about 50%. Still consumes around 70% of the battery.
That is so strange.......the screen is def 'timing out' & shutting off....i have mine set for 1 minute, wierd one this:smileysad:
Got mine set for 30 seconds but still draining crap load of juice.Well I just unplugged it form the original charger where it charged to 100%. Lets see how long it lasts
Ok guys latest reading. Took it off charge and watched a 4 min video in hd and ran a benchmark test. This was done all on Stamina mode even though the snapshots don't show it. Normal? I think not
