Sony Xperia z2 battery drain

Hi guys I've had my z2 for two weeks now and I noticed that my battery life is quite poor. I have already activated all the power saving tools the phone comes with but to no success. I called Sony and they asked me to plug my phone into my computer and update the new software in which I did. They also told to to disable a few auto update but the main source or drainage is coming from my screen which is set to full and "Adapt to Lighting Conditions" I'm loosing about 3% when the phone is on within 20 minuets without doing anything and when watching a video or running an app it's about 1% in 5 min. Please help or I'll return the phone in exchange for a new one.

PS My screen is buring between 70 to 83% everytime I check it.

Thanks

I would suggest you to check if the same occurs in safe mode:

How many days/hours of regular (average) usage can you get? (100% - 10%)

If it's between 1.5-2 days, that's just fine.

It's normal. Nothing is wrong with your phone. If you can watch a movie for 10 straight hours that means nothing is wrong with your phone. You can also make phone run for 2 straight days if you do nothing with it and turn wifi off. Sony is tricking us.

Mine has the same issue after the update, I've downloaded an app "Gsambattery" and checked, found out it's caused by "Google service", used the app to disabled the service and problem solved.

I woke up today and cheked my email and left it. Now checking it I've lost 8% in the last 40 min. This isn't normal.

Just watched a 2 min video when the battery % was 51 and just dropped to 50% in safe mode. Think I have a problem?

Try a software repair:

That was the first thing I was advised to do. Perhaps I should try it again. I had disabled the google services and google   plus and still seems to be draining fast. What else can I try?

Check with a change of the network mode to GSM only.
