Sony xperia Z1 Stuck in boot loop.

Hey Guys,
I have a new Z1 that randomly stops getting service when I turn it off and try to turn it on it flashes sony then Xperia then a black screen and then back to Sony. After being off for a while it will finally allow me to start it up. Any ideas?

once you make it actually started and running, long press the power button for the shutdown menu. Then long tap on the "turn off" option, and pick safe mode when it pops up.

This will make your phone start in fail-safe, with all non-stock services and apps disabled, so you can see if there are some apps that cause this. Try it several times, if the phone boots normal in safe mode every time, uninstall some apps that you recently installed and check if the problem is gone.

If this doesn't help, you can always make a software "repair" with Sony Update Service (download here if you don't have it already   http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/update-service/ ) But remember to backup your data first.

Guys, my brand new Z1 is stuck in boot loop. Tried reseting it with SUS but it still loops on the xperia animation. I will probably go and demand an exchange, but until then do you have any other ideas?

Use Flashtool to recover it Download the correct FTF file for your phone depending on what version C69XX prepare the flashing then when it requires the flash mode connect the usb to your computer then hold the volume down button. hope it helps you guys take care

If everything fails, try reinstalling the firmware using the Sony PC companion tool. You can get video instructions here

If a repair of the phones software doesn't help, also try removing the SIM-card and memory card if you have one. If the phone starts without those, try the phone with another SIM-card and memory card.

this happened to my 3 days old Z1, sequence is exactly as described by thread starter. it can be fixed with update service factory software wipe, however a few days later the phone broke again with similar condition. Obviously this is hardware issue....

SUS did a factory reset.. still didnt work.

It logs on for a while - no network found - shows the "xperia" logo - reeboots -heats up

Hey! Guys, same with my set. I buy after few days, the reboot condition happen. I try factory reset, reinstall & repair the firmware by PC companion. I just keeping happen again & I did not install any app or slot in the memory card & sim card. I try check online, few people have same this condition & send back to service center to pair. Some one got replace by a new set of Z1, now my one already send to center already 1 week still waiting reply. I surges send to service center for all your set. I have try a lot repair reinstall on the software but condition still the same suspect the hardware problem. I found up some thing that this happen mostly on one first lot launch out Z1 by Sony. Feeling very bad what have happen to all of us.............
