Hello,
Do anyone know where can i buy cheap sony xperia z1 main motherboard (top one) as mine got water in and it got damaged, i need new one to replace it, as water does not seems to damage anything else, there is no water mark on other parts. Please, let me know if you know whre can i buy one. Thanks
P.S. im looking for this part ---> http://amabux.webs.com/Z1/Z1-1.jpg
I will send you through PM what I have found.
No luck, got reply from SONY support, they do not sell any separate parts for Z1. They told me i can send phone to them and pay full repair and parts price. I don't even asked how much it will cost, as i believe it would be better get new phone.I did searched online for z1 motherboard but no luck.
Indeed,motherboards aren't that easy to find.Contact a different service.
i wonder if there is any way to extract my photos and videos from internal memory. As phone is dead, i cant access my files on internal memory, so maybe there is any way to get to memory inside the phone and connect it to the pc to transfer files?
You won't be able if the phone doesn't turn on,I am sorry.
I send my phone in twice. Sony refuse to work on the phone. They say the motherboard is damaged. What now ? Do I toss the phone ? It is a Z1s - 4 months old !!
Why won't they repair, you do not have warranty?
we have the same problem! **bleep** crappy sony z1! mine only took 7months before it gave up. my suggestion: buy a non sony phone and take a video of us burning our z1's and post it on youtube. just for the heck of it really, im super pissed that sony can't fix it up. it's not our fault if they have a crappy design. that eventually some parts of it gets lose and water comes in. they assured people that z1 is waterproof, but check this out SONY! we are all having the same problem! a total waste of money!

You can send your phone to dedicated company that works on restoring data from damaged devices, hard drives, SD cards etc. But it may cost you from few hundreds to thousands Dollars.
