Sony Xperia Z1 compact Led problem

I charge my phone while I'm sleeping (not unsual), next to my bed, However instead of being waked by the alarm set, my new Sony has a Led light that wants to tell me at 3 AM that the battery is full. Bright light!  I don't want to know while i'm sleeping!!

Checked with customer support and they tell me It can't be switched off.  Does anyone know how I can turn the led light off?

I'm afraid this can't be turned off but it has previously been forwarded as feedback internally. What you can try is to enable night mode in Smart Connect and edit the event to decrease the brightness of the display. If you don't have the phone in a dock you could perhaps also place the phone with the display facing down.
