Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual Pathetic Experience....Phone reboots self

I bought this phone few days ago. I felt pathetic experience. Even though spending 25K for this mobile, I do not feel its value for money.

> The phone reboots itself, additionally the reboot time takes half an hour to one hour. And  during that time you can not do anything with phone.

> Speak volume is too low that you can not even hear phone ringtone.

> Music **bleep** Walkman is not at all functioning. Means I would say Sony which was wellknown for music is no more good. Its worst now. Till now I have not been able to enjoy music with Sony Xperia T2 ultra.

> SD card reader is not working properly with phone. Even if it works, phone becomes slow. Same SD card is working absolutely fine with Samsung Galaxy Pro mobile & eventhough samsung has 256 MB RAM, samsung phone do not becomes slow.

> If phone do not function prpoperly with SD card then your bad luck is that you may not utilize internal Xperia T2 ultra memory. So its like your phone is useless.

> USB charging is not functioning properly. Xperia T2 Ultra suddenly stops to charging via computer USB.

I called sony & asked them to take your mobile back & give my money back but they refused and asked me to go to service center. But I would say its just 1 week old mobile & and is it that worst that I need to go to service center????

PATHETIC, disastrous, Weired, ridiculous, absurd......this is my experience with Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual.

I think this ust too much... Afterall is not such a bad phone . I do agree there are few bugs in phone software but those are not in any way hardware issues. I don't think there are any rebooting issues with the phone. You need to check with the nearby service center

I'm very sorry to hear that your new phone is not working properly.

From what you're describing your phone needs to be repaired or replaced and i suggest that you contact a service location or local Sony Xperia support for assistance.
I'm not sure if you can return the phone as that depends on your market and where you bought it. If you want to return it i recommend that you first check with your dealer where you bought the phone.

Rickard further to add...I play candy crush, I was playing previously on my brother's mobile (Micromax Canvas A114  2.2) & now in Xperia T2 ultra. Would you believe the candy crush reponse is faster in Micromax Canvas 2.2 compare to Xperia T2 Ultra. Both cell phone has 1 GB RAM. Even though Micromax canvas has 1.3 Gig core in compare to Xperia T2 Ultra which has 1.4 Gig core the reponse of Micromax Canvas is faster compare to Xperia T2 Ultra...I think you should seriously check this.

You know I feel very bad when phone powers off because you don't know when it will get start & untill that I have to wait. I becomes uncommunicable & for that I feel the pressure. This happens daily & today also mobile went swtiched off. More specifically I can say phone gets powered off at nearby ~12:00 PM IST & then after I have to wait atleast half an hour before it gets start....Thats why I said it has been horrible experience.

 

Considering the current situation & faster life, I have to waste my days to get this repaired. And this seems really costly & painful affair for me. Cause first I have to go there, explain the service center guy, submit my phone for few days. Then I have to again go there & get that back. And after having this experience with Sony, I dont know weather this will really get repaired or new piece will be really OK.

So ... that means you have a lot of money to spare. You do not even want to go to the service center to get your phone repaired. Why are you wasting time in this forum then? 

The problems that you are writing here are your device specific problems and do not hold true for all the T2 Ultras. Therefore, either go to service center or live happily with your defective device. Please stop wasting time in this forum.

i am facing exactly the same issue. i think it's because the RAM is insufficient. i had a Samsung Mega 5.8 before i exchanged

for the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, that had 1.5GB RAM, this T2 Ultra only has 1 GB Ram. Even though company

put in good display/hd playback,walkman, it missed out on a simple thing, to make sure all these apps work

perfectly......RAM. There should have been atleat 2GB  RAM on-board this.

I personally think that KitKat update would solve all the memory issues because Kitkat is optimized to run on phones with 512 MB RAM. So I think we should wait for KitKat update (Already announced by Sony)

I am also going through this problem as my device keeps on rebooting itself many times a day what is solution for this please let me know ASAP as I bought this phone 3 days back

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you try to reinstall the phone software using Update Service..


If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

I have the same problam with my new xperia T2. I just bought it a week ago and its keep shutting off maybe 3 times a day.
Im using the same micro sd memory card that i used in my old phone (64 gb kingstone).
I have no idea what to do. Sell it now or try to fix it somehow, it has to many lags all the time even when im using only one app only.
Any suggestions??
