Sony Xperia Sola - Touchscreen problems

Hello everyone:)

I am facing a problem with my touch display screen of my SK17i(mini pro).

The screen blanks out most of the time but the touch remains unaffected and it happnes in both the modes i.e. slider on and off.

I think the problem is with the slider flex cable but cannot pin point it which is where i require help.

If my conclusion is correct then where would i get  the flex cable as the Sony services are refusing to repaire the same for Ericsson is no longer part of Sony anymore.

A little help here would be appreciated

They told at a Sony repair center that they can't fix your phone?

yes...they said they no longer take in ericsson mobiles or accessories
