Hi,
After the latest update my battery keeps getting drained very quickly, I have to charge it twice a day sometimes, when I checked the Battery use I found the android system used 59% of the bettery, it is always the same percentage whereas my wife's phone is on Andoid V2.3 and it last 4 times the life of my phone, could you please release a patch to fix this problem?
I wish I could roll back the update.
Hi!
I had the same problem -- less than a day battery capcity. Here is how I managed to solve this issue (in my case):
I tried to reset my Exchange account, then to clear settings as mentioned above...without any success to gain more battery time. BUT after these two steps and a full charging I checked the battery stats and came out that Exchange is eating a lot of battery, so I just changed the sync time from Automatic (Push) to 30 minutes and voila, my phone is still alive after more than a day 🙂
(3G is always ON, wifi is always OFF)
Hey!
I am facing this same problem as yours. Since i have upgraded my Xperia SL to 6.1.A.2.55, the batterylife become is miserable!
Could you find a solution? Lemme know if you did!
Thanks..
Travelled in Kerala for the past 10 days..even with a weaker signal strength, battery lasted comfortably for 2 and half days without recharging, with minimal number of voice calls and occasional use of camera. Back in Chennai, its back to old horrible battery state of 10 hrs without doing anything..Contacted Vodafone, their stock reply, nothing wrong with your connection, issue is with your phone :)..It baffles me how a phone battery can show vastly different backup time in two different states over the same operator's network..Obviously this has something to do with Vodafone network alone, and nothing to do with the phone.(Want to stress that at no point of time i was with no network connection in Kerala, so battery lasting much more cannot be attributed to not having a signal at all) In Chennai, signal strength shows full always, but Cell standby shows the highest percentage usage, while it was not the case in Kerala..Can anyone throw some light on this ? Note: Was an airtel customer earlier, got number ported to Vodafone, sometime last year.
Force restart(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).Connect your phone to a wall charger, let it charge for 2 hours then turn it on.
Hello,
Have a try to turn off 3G. Under mobile network settings, choose GSM Only (turn off WCDMA)
It will increase your batery life. Turn 3G back only when you need downloading.
It spares battery life a lot of !

My Question is that, Why Sony Erricson Name is printed on Sony Xperia S battery until Sony and Erricson are seprate brands
Well,I think Ericsson was bought by Sony and integrated in time. From 2013 Xperias,Ericsson sign does not appear anymore on the devices.
Got rid of xPeria SL for a modest Moto G last week...pretty satisfied with the new phone...and most importantly, need not charge it every 10 hrs..Pretty sad I had to get rid of SL just bcoz of battery life...Handset issue or network issue, unsure..but the same SIM on same network does not have any issues on Moto G's battery life , so it had something to do with handset or software update..Sony service centre was not also of any help...Any way, bye bye SL...
