Sony Xperia P software update problem (!)

Hey there all,

I've bought myself a new Sony Xperia P phone 2 days ago.

Ever since than, I'm trying to upgrade the software from android 2.3.7. to android 4.0.

The problem is : the cellphone thinks that it has the latest software already but this is clearly not the case as the android number is 2.3.7.

I can't get my phone to upgrade to 4.0!

If someone could help me I'd really really appreciate it.

Try an update with SUS or maybe you will have to wait.The ICS is released on different dates in the world.

I come from Polish and I have the same problem. Update Service showed me that I have the latest update. My android version is 2.3.7.

Then you must wait,there is no other option.Try with PCC or SUS every day,and maybe something comes up.

SUS also tells me that I have the newest software already. And the android 4.0  for the Sony Xperia P is definitely already released here.

I really don't know what's the matter...

Yes louk,it was released but many people still don't have it.It is a matter of time.Just wait a little more and as i said at my earlier post,try once every two days to update with sus or pcc.

I still can not update my phone , it is still telling me that I have the latest software already.

You can contact your network provider and ask them about the update.Everybody is upset because they didn't get the update yet,but there is nothing you can personally do.

Look. I have the same problem, and I think all we can do is just wait. Sit and wait.
