Okay so I have a Sony Xperia Miro and I switched it off earlier during lessons at college and as soon as I got home I tried to turn my phone back on,however it wasn't working, now i know my battery wasn't dead not in the least ( it was at about 87% when I switched it off!) and for the past 4 hours I have been trying to find ways to get my phone to switch back on.
I have tried charging it but the phone doesn't even have a light or anything to say that its charging and i have tried to reboot/restart it by holding down the volume and power buttons but nothing is having any effect whatsoever,I even tried connecting it to the Sony PC Companion but it doesn't even recoginse that my phone is plugged in,it just comes up with the 'New USB Hardware detected'
I just really need some kind of help because nothing is working!
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Have you tried to remove the battery then insert it again to see if this can solve your issue? Otherwise, I suggest that you perform a software repair on your unit via PC Companion.
In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.
Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it.
