Sony Xperia Charging

The Sony Xperia seems to have issues on charging through the USB cable on XP Machines, the phone wont isntall its own drivers, even after numerous attemps, and also trying to download MTP Drivers manually

Any ideas?

Sorry to hear that. Does the PC recognise the handset in any way at all? Does the same issue occur even if you change USB ports and install PC Companion?

It recognises the phone but shows as uninstalled in the Device Manager, using the PC Companion also causes it to take forever to search for drivers etc, show as 'MTP Device' then finally say it cannot be installed

Do you get any option to install or update the drivers when you right click on them within the Device Manager?

Ofcourse but no change by using these options
