Hi Team,
I previously had issue with loud speaker when i had performed the software update of the Sony M4 Aqua over wifi and I had to submit it to service center for fixing the issue.
After collecting the mobile from service center and returing back to office .It now again shows a software update being available . I am worried to perform the software update as it may turn off or corrupt the loudspeaker again .
So kindly check and let me know if the available software update has any bugs related to system hardware and what are the implication if i don't perform the update and I need the assurance from support engineer that this will cause loud speaker or any hardware issue as I cannot keep on visiting the service center which is very far from locaiton.

This is a user based forums, no one will have access to such information here. But we can help if you tell us what is your current firmware version (Settings -> About phone) and what's the firmware version in the update notification (Settings -> About phone -> Software update).
The next update available is 26.1.B.2.147, which looks like a bug fixing update. Just backup you important data (just to be safe) and proceed with the update.
This particular update earlier caused me Loud speaker issue . So i am worried to perform it .
Updates go through extensive testing from Sony side and from network operators too, what happened with your last update experience can be merely a coincidence, as software updates won't usually ruin something in hardware.
ِAnyways, if you decide not to update it will not cause you any harm, but you may be missing some bug fixes or new improvements to the software.
I am in the same boat as you:

These Sony updates are nothing but trouble. My advice would be to not update your phone.
Although it might be Googles fault as well. Lollipop updates are screwing up non sony phones as well.
If you want to get rid of the anoying message First makes sure you go to the settings of the app and turn off auto download.
Then go to Settings-Apps-All and Force Stop "Software Update" You won't get the pop up unless you restart the phone.
Quester,
Do you think it is just a coincidence that a lot of people have problems after updates?
