Sony Bridge not responding on mac

I have just bought a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and was hoping to transfer some of my music from itunes. Unfortunately Sony Bridge appears to be quite useless and totally unresponsive. I have tried deleting and reloading to no avail. As soon as I try to browse my itunes it becomes unresponsive. Sort it out Sony. Preferably in the next 7 days so I can decide whether to send my phone back and get a samsung or not.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Please make sure your MAC meets the minimum requirements.

1. MacOS version 10.6 or later
2. 1 GHz Intel processor (64 bit processor required for phone software update)
3. 512 MB RAM
4. 60 MB hard-disk space for program installation
5. iTunes 7.0 or later (recommended)
6. iPhoto version 08 or later (recommended)
7. Java SE 6 required for phone software update

Please make sure you double check the Java update as this is a common cause of this issue.

I'm sorry to hear Bridge isn't working for you. A new version will be released anytime now that will should solve the problems you are mentioning.

I have downloaded the update and there is zero improvement. Still turns my mac into a loud, overheated lamp until I can get it to force quit your massively crap software. I don't know what it's trying to do, but it's doing a very poor job of it.

Genuine question, do you guys even bother testing your products? Because I've never experienced quite the sustained **bleep** poor quality of software like I have with sony products, in the 15 years I've been buying them.

I don't think I'm being melodramatic when Is say that this software is really hampering my enjoyment of what is a **bleep** expensive phone.

Sort it out.
