sony bridge for mac won't connect. Xperia Miro

I have been using and connecting with my Xperia Miro for the best part of a year. Now the bridge offers "could not connect"

I took the phone into the shop I bought it from today, they don't have a mac but it connected properly to their laptop. I had them use my USB cable it worked fine.  My wife has a sony XperiaE with both her and my USB cable the E  connects without problem to the bridge.

My battery removed and card in and out of location all reset  Mac restarted and sony bridge deleted and reinstalled as per your instuctions.   Nothing !

The problem would seem to be in some upgrade of yours that has not taken account of the Xperia Miro!

This is very unsatifactory.  please advise.

Hi David

could I check if there is a scheduled date for an update to 3.7.1 as I am also experiencing the same problems.

or is there a safe link to a download and reinstall 3.6 so I can try rolling back as others have done?

Hi Jingo,

Version 3.8 is out now, please try that and see if it works. Otherwise, please get back to me.

Best Regards,

David

Thank you David that worked.

It has been a very frustrating few weeks trying to sort it out - especially as when I used the Sony live chat for help they suggested that my phone was broken and needed to be sent for repair.  After another few days of searching the internet for help I stumbled across this forum and realised I was not alone and it was an issue with 3.7

It would have saved me a lot of time if the Live Chat help team knew about ongoing issues like this.

but thank you for your help anyway

Hi David thank you the information ref the publication of sony bridge for mac 3.8

Having seen the response to the thread, I'm glad I set it off.   However we resolved the problem for Mac10.6.8 by finding Bridge 3.6 in my time machine and I am loath change it again.

Will upgrade to latest version should I ever change my operating system.

Thank you for all your work in this regard.
