Hi Sony,
I believe your mobile support already knows about Xperia P general Battery drainage behaviour.
Probably someboday already asked, if this behaviour (or feature?) will be corrected in Future FW update and I m not sure if you already replied to that question, so if you do not mind, I will ask again / summarize this again:
All the people around the world have same experience - that normal behaviour of Xperia P is, that sometimes it drains battery like hell without any reason!
OK, here we go with example:
Day 1: Xperia P removed from charger at 7:00 AM. Minimum usage during the day. In the evening (18:00), battery shows 78%. OK!
Day 2: Xperia P removed from charger at 7:00 AM. Minimum usage during the day (same place, same signal, same usage like day before) ......and already at 11:00 AM (means after 4 hours without charge), battery shows 60% and when you touch the phone, it is very hot (Like if you are playing game).... even NO application was launched / started since morning (so NO application should be draining the battery).
SImple - the phone was laying on the table since morning, was not used and battery drained 40% within 4 hours....
... restart of the phone helps, that the battery drainage is stoped.
And What is funny is, when you check "battery usage" (after these 4 hours), it will shows you that ONLY system+LCD drained it!
From other point of view, I have to confirm, that Yes, it is possible that Xperia P keep working for 2-3 days maximum (with min.usage, data turned off), but this is NOT common at all 🙂
@ SONY, my question is:
are you officialy aware about this itself / without no reason "battery drainage behaviour"?
And are you working on the repair - that in next FW update this will be corrected?
And please do NOT reply me that you do not know about this (nobody of you is using Xperia P?).
And please do NOT reply me that there is NO general battery drainage issue and that this is just specific user / unit issue, when this issue is reported in user FORUMs around the world and all the Xperia P users make fun of this behaviour, that "it is not bug, it is a feature" 🙂
-> if you will reply one of two above, than lol.
Simply - I want to be sure, that I still can trust SONY company (you know issue, you will correct it) and that SONY "do not make fun of its customers".
Thanks and regards from Prague, Czech Republic
Jirka
P.S. @ Other users, please DO not reply to me that issue needs to be on my side, I m waiting official SONY reply 🙂 ....
.. but please you are welcome to confirm that you are experiencing the same 😉
I hope they would fix this when they release jelly bean for Xperia P. I sure wish that they would read every complains they get from their costumer. So that we could all be happy with this phone. this is my very first android phone. for me it is expensive when it first came out. I saved money just to buy this. but it's very dissappointing to see that it has so many issues/problems.
It's not a bug, it is a feature.
Nah, just kidding.
We report all issues we stumble upon here and escalate them to the concerned people. I have unfortunately not heard anything new about this in some time but I suspect that this will be improved in the JB-update that isn't that far away. I would love to give you more information if I had any, but unfortunately I don't.
Hi Samuel, thanks for the reply. Understand.... sounds fair 🙂
JB-update isn't that far away, so lets hope this will be solved there.
It is resolved for me as of now, since the latest update. But it was freaky issue after the last update. Had to recharge 2 to 3 times a day with average use only.
I hope they would release it soon.
