Some suggestions for future firmware update

I have updated to 5.0.2 yesterday. Here is what I want in future updates.

1. More customizations in themes including icons (let's us apply third party icon packs. I don't want to use 3rd party launcher just for that).

2. Accent color- Let us change the accent color (now blue and orange) separately irrespective of themes (now some application hasn't updated to lollipop app guidelines yet, so it is so ugly to see blue status bar at the top)

3. Font change- Come on, it is a nice feature to have and also very easy to do. At least give us -10 fonts to choose from.

4. Vibration and/or sound when call connects-  This is very important. It is a very useful feature and in the past I root my phone just for this. But it is not right to root just for this especially when root is difficult. Just vibration is enough.

5. Exclamations mark in WiFi icon if there is no internet despite being connected. (stock android in Nexus shows this).

6. Long press to go to relevant settings. (Well 4.3, 4.4 kitkat has this but now gone).

7. Call blocking- some of Xperia phones already have this. I don't want to install 3rd party app for this.

8. More customizations for messaging dialer apps.

9. Keyboard- give us optional number row. Want at least + sign second page or at least give us options to customize the position.

If any of you have some suggestions, please comment.

You got it all wrong, your issue its not with Sony, if you buy an unlocked phone, the bootloader can be unlocked, in other words, carrier/networks request for the bootloader to be locked, again, that's NOT a SONY issue but your carrier/network.

Sony devs said that they are working on supporting custom themes on lollipop, which means, you will be able to create your own theme.

3. I doubt it, it seems that Google wants all Android devices using the same font.

4. is this what you are referring to http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z3-Compact/dialling-vibration/m-p/960301/highlight/true#M8569

5. elaborate on this

etc

a lot of this suggestions have been posted before, but you are aware that you can download third party apps to do just that, customize your phone as you please, you don't have to wait for Sony or any OEM to customize the apps as you wish, take advantage of the PlayStore

▪Sound effects **bleep**, Z1 already has a weak external speakers and now Sony removed the xLoud

▪video app is messed up, doesn't play movies sometimes, even subtitles don't work properly.

▪Messaging app doesnt show popups when using other apps or games (hangouts does this on lollipop)

▪Main camera became laggy

▪X-Reality doesn't switch back after charging the phone (when turned off by low power mode).

Overall great update, but it feels like Sony rushed everything with their buggy apps and under developed apps. I hope they fix it, if not then I'm not investing on a Sony phone anymore.

It's not about just hardware anymore Sony, phones also needs updated apps, don't just rely on Google's OS.

1. Also in the battery usage section the timer that tels you the time the device was on battery was replaced with a estimated time until the battery is empty which in my opinion is useless (I used my phone moderately this morning and it sowed 15 hours left and because i didn't use the phone for a wile until now it shows 1d 12 hours)

2. The battery history graph is squeezed because it also displays the time until the battery is empty and you don't see the details on the graphic because of that...

3. The call log has in bug that was present since 4.4.4:

/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/call-log-issue/m-p/969471#M39933

4. The mail app has a bug also present from 4.4.4:

/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Mail-app-attachment-problem/m-p/968455#M39795

5. The message app doesn't interrupt if  you listening to music with the headphones and you use Vibrate sound mode. It only vibrates if the vibration are on and if not you have no idea if you receive a message wile listening to music and screen is off..

6. The Xperia keyboard had a bug in 4.4.4 in which the words from My Words disappears after some time of usage. Until now (2 days from Update) it works on 5.0.2 but i will give it some time to se if the issue appears again :

/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Keyboard-won-t-learn-new-words-or-writing-style/m-p/964644#M39669

7. Battery drains faster than before but I suppose the system will stabilize..

8. Some Material design elements should not exist simply because they don't look god (I'm a fan of dark skins) to much white Slightly_smiling_Face

9. xLoud is missing and the sound lacks the deep bass that it had before

I'm a very patient person and I hope one day Sony optimizes their software so that they resolve all bugs as much as possible..

Beside those issues i'm very happy with the new version of android

As above, went to walkman > Audio Settings, ClearAudio+ was there, but under more options no XLoud or ClearPhase

Perhaps I should also clarify that the audio now sounds like **bleep** even with headphones, and to be honest it wasnt even that good in the first place, now it is just **bleep**...

I was hoping that the updates would allow changing the size of the app icons. It seems to big for me.

Even their album app couldn't share photos with "xperia with Facebook", Sony at software department. This is what I hate about Sony, they keep on bragging their well built phones when their apps are not even "sitting well" with the next O.S. updates. They just update the UI of their apps.

Shame on you Sony, even other phone companies does a better job with your patents with just a well tweaked software.
