software update to 4.3 or maybe 4.4 for xperia T

Just wondering IF I should read up on how to root my xperia T phone in order to put the android 4.4 on it. Or should I wait a month or two more to see IF the 4.3 update comes out for the phone with the faint possibilaty of getting the 4.4 version update a year or more later.

Or would I just be better off & putting the cost on a credit card/overdraft to get the latest phone with said software on it & run the risk of the phone going on the discard pile in updates within 6months after 6+newer phones get reliced.

Any leaks what will 4.3 for Xperia T have? Better camera software, or maybe stamina mode known from Xperia Z-series?
That would be good, as far any one knows the T battery problems, working for 5 - 6 hours on one charge.. The camera software also could get improved of known autofocus lags. Hope they improve it.
