software crash

Today i tried to switch on the data but i realised that the data symbol did not appear next to the signal symbol. I tried to restart the phone and the did not start properly. Since then the phone doesn't work properly. It restarted many times at its own until i had to push the red button next to the sim slot. I managed to save pictures message history but lost all contacts. Also it appears messages that say that xperia keyboard stoped working etc. Any help?

Anyone faced similar problem with software crash ?is there any chance of virus affected?

Not likely a virus, more likely some corrupt software. It would be worthwhile running a software repair to prevent this from reoccuring:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps
