Software Build No .31

Hi,

i just gor my XL from Sony service center and phone's build no. is 15.0.A.1.31

It is 4.1.2

at service center they changed mother board and screen.

I want to know, is build no. .31 very old cuz i m not getting small apps in it.

I don't know why sony people installed older version instead of new as there are new updates available.

Pls help !!!

you will be getting only 4.1.2 if you flash the software in service center because the latest update has been called off in sony service centers and the service engineers are advicing the customers not to update to jelly bean 4.2.2 as i causes many usability problems .what i will suggest you to do is just install the first OTA update where you will get small apps but still the phone will be on jelly bean 4.1.2 after that don't install any updates thorugh pc companion or by OTA .the problem with the 4.1.2 firmware is that the camera is really bad and the battery is not that great when compared to android 4.2.2 update but as for as the system stability is concerned 4.1.2 is the best. i hope this answers your question.

i have notification of software update 15.0.A.2.17

So, is .17 build version good? i mean is it 4.1.2? is it good to update?

to know the version of android using the build number notice the second number in the build number {15.(0).a.2.17} .... as long as it is (0) not (3) it is 4.1.2
