Sms read on lockscreen

Is there a way, or an app, to mark as read an sms on the lockscreen?

Sorry but I'm not aware of any - I often read messages on my Smartwatch but the unread message notification still stays on my phone

The stock messaging app can do this. When you recieve an SMS, you'll get a compact card viewing the first line of the SMS. Just tap the card and pull it down, it will expand and you'll have the option to mark it as read.

I can also mark messages as read frem my SmartWatch 3, just keep swiping left untill you see the option "Mark as read"
