Smartwatch error with new update

Smartwatch worked fine until today when the auto update failed and now it is stuck in non-stop download mode.  I reinstalled the Smatwatch 2 app, restarted the LG Optimus F6 phone several times, restarted the SW 2 several times and it still gets stuck on downloading.

"Downloading to Smartwatch 2"  is the message on my phone which never clears and they no longer talk to each other.

HELP!!!!!  Why did they mess this up with the new update?

I have the exact same problem - someone from support please give us some info!!

Actually just solved it on my watch - was charging when the update came in. Unplugged it for maybe 5-10 mins and it switched off. Switched it back on and the update started again but worked this time.
