SmartBand - Smart wake up alarm not working

Hi,

Hoping someone can help.... I got my smartband yesterday and was really pumped for the vibrating smart alarm feature. I have gone into the smart connect app, then to smartband and have turned on smart wake up with a time of 06:30-07:00. 

When i went to bed i put the smartband into night mode, however this morning i did not recieve any vibrating alarm to wake me up.... i was woken up by my normal alarm which i had said to 5 past 7 just in case.

have i missed something that i should of done to get this feature to work?

I've got a slightly different issue. My alarm works perfectly during the week but on the weekend it still wakes me up at 6am when I've set it only to week days.

yeah my alarm is now working but this morning (saturday) did the same thing as above...... woke me up on my day off..... really annoying

If I can remember correctly, according to the online manual, Smart wake up will be activated automatically if during (in your case) the time of 6:30 - 7:00 am. you have a light sleep. If you were happen to be in a deep sleep, the function won't be activated as it would interupt your sleep. Therefore, the regular alarm clock will be activated instead.  :smileysmileywink:

no it will always wake you up at the latest time regardless of your sleep...... so in my case, even if I am still in deep sleep the alarm is supposed to go off at 7:00am

Ok, today (Monday morning) my alarm should have woken me up but didn't..... I'm at a loss here. Do you need to have Bluetooth on so it's connected to your phone or doesn't it matter? I'm thinking the software is buggy. Sony? Aware of this issue? Working on an update? Test this thing much before releasing?

The Smart Alarm only works if your SmartBand is connected to your phone. Check that you band has not disconnected itself in the middle of the night .. if it has .. then your alarm will go bonkers!

I got the same problem and think it is bug in the smartband software which Sony should fix it asap.

After much experimenting this is what I have found. You don't need to be connected via Bluetooth for the alarm to work. The alarm I set for Monday to Friday is actually applicable to Tuesday to Saturday. The alarm I set for Sat and Sun is actually applicable to Sun and Mon. This it's why out would wake me up early on Saturday and late on Monday. Unless Sony has applied done word new logic to the alarm it is a bug. The work around is to set the alarm according to this messed up logic. Weekdays are Sun to Thursday. Weekend is Friday to Saturday.
