smart headset mh1c problem

Hi

I connect a MH1c Smart Headset to my Xperia L and all works well but the Smartkey. I push it, like the instructions says, and nothing happens.

It sounds well, rest of buttons works well, Liveware works well: when I plug it in the phone, it launches the walkman app, like is configured.

There is some type of incompatibility? Is like if the Smartkey app does not recognize the phone.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

If you just push it once without setting it up first you may not get any response. Please follow the steps below to configure its usage:

To set a default application using the SmartKey

Press and hold down the SmartKey. When you release your finger, the Headset: SmartKey menu appears on the phone.

Phone: Select an application from the list or download an application from Google Play™ by tapping Search for more applications. The default application runs automatically next time you press the SmartKey.

To activate the SmartKey on your phone

From the Home screen, find and tap LiveWare™ manager.

Tap Headset.

Mark the Enable/disable SmarkKey checkbox.

To trigger the SmartKey

Press the SmartKey.

Exactly the same problem here with the mh1c, on xperia p running all the latest updated software..
It does not work as advertised -the Smartkey app only allows starting a limited set of apps with the Call key, not starting any app with the Smart key. The phone does register something (it highlights a portion of the home screen), but nothing useful happens.
I wrote sony support a very detailed report, explaining that the instructions do not work. The reply just repeated the same useless instructions (sorry Sam).
I'm disappointed after paying a premium (retail!) price for this headset..

I am also having same problem. The smart key feature is very nice one and i liked it very much but it doesn't work as sony says on my xperia p. Can some one from sony help to fix this issue.
