problem with headphones(xperia tipo dual).....

i bought my sony xperia tipo dual mobile a week back.i have got a problem regarding the headphones.

my mobile is not recognizing the headphones when inserted.

if i play a song with headphones inserted it is played using the mobiles loud speaker.

do any one have the same problem???

Restart the mobile and then insert the headphone slowly & wait for sometime and then try listening songs:smileyhappy:

If the issue persists then try another set of headphones to see if the issue is with the phone or the headphones. If it is with the phone then you could try a software repair on the phone to see if this is the cause of this. You would do this via the PC Companion software http://bit.ly/AugUct

I have the same problem.

I think it must be a SW problem, because my Tipo sometimes thinks, that headphones are still inserted and I can't make a call, because I don't hear anything.

May I ask you, whether Companion software solved the problem?

No. it is not resolved with the pc companion software....though i am happy with the service given by the flipkart...they have given me the replacement for the defective one..

Hi, I've the same problem with my new Xperia Tipo ... A clue of an update to fix this? or a trick to avoid the problem ?
If the bug is not fix, I'll ask Sony for a replacement ...

That problem happened to me. But it worked after I do this:

1.)Connect the phone in the computer and launch the PC Companion. 

2.) Click the "Support Zone" or the Update phone/tablet button.

3.) It's like updating a phone. Click the start button. If the phone is up to date, click the "repair my phone/tablet".

4.) Wait for it to prepare. Follow the steps. But this time, connect the earphones while doing those steps.

5.) Wait for it until it it finishes.

iam using sony xperia tipo dual.the problem is my phone is not detecting headphones.iam using headphones whatever came along with phone.The problem is

->when we plugin the hearphone it is not detecting,after plugin thehearphone, if we switch off and switch on the mobile,hearphones are working fine.but again by unpluging the hearpones if we call/listen songs sound is not coming musicplayer is running but sound is not coming.
