Smart Connect - new features?

This app Smart Connect is very nice, but some things could be improved.

The next things for example:

  • You should be able to use a location or a wireless network as initiator, this way you'll be able to switch off your data when coming home. (for example)
  • The function to read the time out loud isn't working correctly.
  • It should be possible to set more devices as initiator, instead of just one. Now you've got to setup multiple events for this.

I hope you'll be using this as positive feedback, because the app is already pretty good, but this way you're not getting the most of it.

Thanks in advance.

1) that might be interesting but if its based on wifi then your wifi will be on the whole time, and if you have your wifi on the whole time as soon as its connected to your house's router your data will be turn off.

if its based on location it might drain your battery quite fast too as it will constantly scan your location

2) I haven't try this yet

3) can you elaborate on this

Thank you for your feedback regarding Smart Connect. I will pass this on internally.

Could you also pass these wishes:

The system can now detect a charger, but I can't get it to detect a USB connection to a PC.

I find the smart connect incredibly practical, e.g. when I come home, I put it in the charger and it switches 3G off and WIFI on.  This saves on the data-bill.  But if I could detect a USB connection, I could also do something similar at work.  That would be great.

An alternative would be reacting to a specific Bluetooth connection, when I come close to my PC.

So to reply to uliwooli: I come home and put it in the charger; WIFI comes on automatically; it sees my home WIFI network; it goes automatically to mute/vibrate...

I walk in our meeting room; the phone detects the bluetooth connection of our projector; it goes to mute. (And so on.)
