slow charging

It's almost a month now since I bought my z1, yesterday I updated my phone to kitkat. But since update I am facing this problem, my phone is charging really slow. And also it is getting heated up like **bleep**. It takes nearly 1hour to charge even 10 % and contrastingly it is charging really fast when it is switched off..... Any suggestions????

I suggest you force shutdown the phone(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates 3 times).Connect to wall socket and let it charge.Turn it on.

Wall socket charging is of any benefit???

Wall socket charger that comes with the phone has a 1 Amp+ rating and it charges faster than the USB cable connected to computer's USB port.

I am changing with extension cord, does it affect charging??

Of course,it charges faster.

You should only connect with the adapter that comes with the phone and the USB,nothing else.

But the cord is way to small

And you cannot get to a socket?I do it almost always,charge to a socket.

But initially it used to charge on extention cord also, the problem started only after the update, and what about the heating isse?? Is it normal??
