SK17i Physical Keyboard not corresponding to symbols after ICS update

I hope someone could help me out, if its related to settings or otherwise. So my keyboard has arabic characters as well. But after the ICS update the symbols on the physical keyboard (the ones in blue) dont correspond when I type them out. E.g:

" : " types as " & "

" ) " types as " % "

" @ " types as " : "

My keyboard now supports symbols such as $, Pound Sign etc. I dont really use arabic but only the english keyboard.

Is there fix for this or is it settings related? My SI number is on the list and my android build number is 4.1.B.0.431

you can make a software repair via PC Companion

If you haven't tested I suggest that you do it but i can't be sure of it

Yes I have tried that, but didnt work. I mean maybe the new ICS supports the Euro symbol and the $ sign. Which is not printed on my keybaord thus replacing the older keys so above mentioned has been tried out but didnt work

Hi Johan,

Yeh i have been through the your mentioned post and nopes its not an issue with the Keybaord type. This is like additional Unicode characters have been added where labels on those keys do not exist.

I tried changing the language to arabic, then the symbols work fine. The issue is when i have english enabled.
