Simultaneous data and voice function upgrade for Xperia Z3V

hi, I just got my Z3V and notice that it cant allow data when im on the call. Verizon claim that Sony may release a patch to enable that function sometime in 01/2015. Im wondering if thats true and how would a software patch enable it.
@Wonton, the issue is not the phone but the network, Verizon its a CDMA not GSM (AT&T & T-mobile, and most of the networks in the world), just like Sprint, it can only do one thing at once, either data or calls.
incorrect, it is phone operation with verizon. All blackberry 10 devices such as Z10,Q10, and Z30 will do mobile data during voice calls. you can also make and recieve phone calls without a hotspot interruption as well. you CANNOT use mobile data while your phone is operating as a hotspot. Im very interested in the sony support team response to this question.
sorry, and those devices opperate like i explained above on the Verizon network, we use blackberry for our business for that feature plus security. call and data at the same time for Verizon only happens in 4G areas.
Thanks, and I've been using my first gen MotoX which does allow me to do simultaneous data + voice. I hope Sony can confirm with me if its something that they are working on it, otherwise i need to return it before too latte.....
Verizons Advanced/HD calling does enable Voice and Data, but the next software upgrade(SU2) should enable this feature. Just waiting for Sony to Push it to VZW then to users. Apparently it was planned for April 2015, but everyone is still waiting.
