Simple Solutions to Popular Bugs

Hi Everybody :smileycool:. It has been some time build B.3.184 is released and it appears to have solved only network drop and purple spot issue. Now are you 100 % satisfied with XpU? If yes dont read on. But if still some deficiencies are bugging you such as low spearerphone volume, camera quality, tiny LED, lags etc then we expect that these problems should be solved. But sonymobile is not transparent and we dont know if things are going to be better or not. We also dont know "when" problems may get solved. ok then what do we do ? You now may be thinking why I am writing like this ? ok ? I want the makers of Xperia to understand the problems faced by us, be transparent and make things better at the earliest.

We know that life is full of adjustments and the way we adapt to that. Did you ever imagine that  'a phone" can cause you stress ? So I suggest multiple choices which you may choose what suits you.

A] Speakerphone volume is low even with much advertised xloud? You can not listen to dialogues in video clips ? Dont worry. try this.

1) I believe that SONY has made this phone not only for humans. Some market leader say their phone is for HUMANS:smileylaugh:. But they lack imagination. how ? The XpU is not only for us but is for our PETS also. You may have a dog, cat, parakeet or even a boa constrictor you may try this.......

Keep xLoud ON. Turn down volume bar to 20 %. Put on music your pet loves. Do you hear anything ? No? Thats Ok. But your pets can hear. This way you can read on some spicy stuff peacefully while your pet enjoys music in the same room.

2) Keep xLoud OFF. Turn down volume bar to 35 %. Do you hear anything ? NO ? Go to the ENT specialist and get your hearing checked. If you have lost a bit of hearing then sorry for that BUT thank sony for making phone that made you aware of your hearing ability.

3) Keep xLoud ON. Keep Volume at 25 %. You will hear something. stretch your ears and listen to taped conversation this way. This will improve your hearing such that you you will be able to hear what your boss or beautiful co worker saying about you from 30 feet distance:smileycool:. if you go further you can use the phone to learn Lip Reading, which may turn out an asset if you are sacked:smileycool:

B] The camera pics at 5M are foggy ! There is no 16:9 aspect setting at 5M. The 2M pics are more clear some times. Did you see the sony ad about HD video shooting ? where the waitress tips over and the guy catches the  spilling drink's droplets on the camera ? Wow !!! were you able to do similar to that at 720 p ? Were you able to catch 3D panorama ? No ? You are getting grainy pics indoors in dim light ?  Thats ok. you cant always get what you dream in life:smileysad:

I think Sony software developers  have  designed the XpU with a very long foresight. The XpU is for Humans(amongst you), Pets and now I believe for ROBOTS also. How ?

We know world is going great advances in Robotics and near future we would be having household Robots(read news fro japanese). So XpU can be used by them easily with the robotic arm to take best pics/ panorama pics. It really needs stabilization and precision of a ROBOTIC ARM.

Here are some DOs and DONTs to solve camera issues.

1) Do not take bets with your friends that your phone can take a better pic than theirs. Especially if they have market leader phone:smileyinfo:

2) If you are challanged and forced to take a bet (:smileyblush:) then insist on 2M pics only.

3) If you want naturally morphed pics use 5M resolution with slight shake.

4) Learn to use your arm like a ROBOT until you buy one:smileysilly:

5) Do not use Quick Launch

6) Do not brag about pic quality of video or phone.

7) Do not use smile detection if there are more than 3 girls in the pic.

😎 Find out technical answer to prove to anybody that your phone has max resolution of 5M.

9) Get closer to 'subject' while taking pics in dim light indoors.[Dont get too close:smileylaugh:] You can always justify this with XpU:smileyinfo:

10) If anybody is showing off pics taken by their phone(especially by market leader) then slowly hide the logo of YOUR phone by your thumb

C] About GPS now I have not much to say as the 'GPS DEVELOPER' HIMSELF has appeared in this forum and assured better performance of GPS with ICS:smileyhappy:. Read this :

Also my gps (B.184) is ok and I get fixes in 5 - 10 seconds.

None the less I cant resist myself to ask you to do following day dreaming excercise.

Imagine your plane crashlanded in the middle of Sahara desert. Only survivours are yourself and the youngest stewardess ! Both are uninjured & shaken. You people then try to use GPS from your XpU to save yourself. Ok then what would happen ?

Answer : GPS symbol goes on blinking but cant fix you even if you wait for an eternity:smileysad:. Ok dont imagine any further as it will pain you.

Morale of Story : The GPS should be able to give a fix without needing any signal from cell towers. Also it should be able to fix you even when GPS sats are not available but cell signal is available.

ABOUT TINY LED I am totally disappointed. Before I bought XpU I read about tiny LED and thought it would be a great notification device. Just to see from distance and know what si happening. However now I feel jilted. Only red & green colours can be seen dimly. In Xperia S the LED works fine. Even after  thousands of views on the LED issue, sony is not transparent. Is it a hardware problem or software problem that can be fixed is not known. Why ?   Well I thought about this and researched a bit and came to following conclusion.

A mobile phone is a very important part of a 'man's' life ! Given a 'good' phone and a laptop men can even forget about women:smileycool:. So why is LED made like this by sony ? Do they want to make us un happy ? Not at all ,  In fact Sony is known to have developed great innovation like white magic for Xperia P. There the screen becomes visible even in the sun light. Great no ?

In XpU, I have realized that sony has developed 'INVISIBLE LED COLOR TECHNOLOGY' They might have patented it even before apple. and there is going to be 'SPOT THE BLUE & WHITE LED CONTEST' shortly to be announced. If you can read the code in blue & white led blinks then you will get a big prize !!!:smileyinfo: Shortly I will paste a link about it
