sim unlock problem

Does anybody has an experience with sim unlock for xperia Z1 by purchashing an unlock code on website?

Please tell me how to unlock the device, cause my phone doesn't request the SIM unlock code when inserted with non carrier sim card.

Have you tried inserting another SIM-card into the phone? Your phone is locked but you have 10 attempts left at entering the correct unlock code so it should ask for an unlock code if it detects another SIM.

I did with 2 different SIM card. But it did't ask for an unlock code.

What if you dial *#*#7465625#*#*?

There must be something different with the KDDI units from Japan in that case. That code should open the SIM-lock menu. Normally you only have 5 attempts at the code as well, not 10.

I suggest that you try contacting KDDI in this case. As their phones does not seem to be locked in a standard way i'm afraid i don't have any information on how to unlock them.
