sim unlock problem

Does anybody has an experience with sim unlock for xperia Z1 by purchashing an unlock code on website?

Please tell me how to unlock the device, cause my phone doesn't request the SIM unlock code when inserted with non carrier sim card.

I bought z1s phone from Tmobile, pay at once, no contract.

I just contacted Tmobile and told them I need the code.

After a week, I get the uncode for free.

exactly, I wonder why my phone doesn't showed the sim unlock code request box like I watched in a lot of tutorial video

Could you maybe post the screenshot so I can see what it tells in SIM lock?

That [x] means you cannot unlock the device even though you still have 10 tries from what I know.

LE: Sorry,it should allow you to unlock the device, [x] is related to an active lock.

Hello, thank you for your purchase!

Before we submit your order, we need to make sure your Sony still has attempts left on it's phone, if there is 0 then we can not unlock your phone because it is "hardlocked".
Turn on your phone without a Sim Card and type into your dialpad: *#*#7378423#*#*

Select service info, then Simlock. Please email us what number is next to (X) Network.

OR if that first method does not work....

Start up the phone and press the Menu key ( ) and Back key ( ) as follows:
Pressing Key Sequences: Menu Back Back Menu Back Menu Menu Back
Note: Please make sure the phone have SIMLOCK when pressing these keys to get into the Service menu.
Also You can check there is counter of wrong code is blocked.

If there are attempts left then your phone can still be unlocked, if it's at 0 then unfortunately your phone is hard locked and we will have to refund your purchase.
