What I say is to be carried out at your own risk but if possible and you have a fine set of tweezers with pointy tips/ends then that's what I would try to pry it out but I can't guarantee this won't cause damage either externally or internally - To be safe I'd contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

I agree with Thommo on this, I however would suggest the second option mainly due to the fact that you could cause damage to the device which would not likely be covered under warranty, and the would be a bad outcome for a new device.

There are demo handsets for networks so when it is released the staff in these retail stores have product knowledge
Ok, so it means OP must be sony authorised retail store's employee. Do you think these demo units are availbale in all sony retail stores?
carphone warehouse here in the UK are saying they have stock now of the Z5 Compact....
The Z5 compact is available here in the Uk and some sites have the Z5 for sale with the Z5 premium available for pre-order
Any idea why some sites are saying the Z5 Compact is available ie carphonewarehouse whilst others inc the Sony site say shipping End of Sept or Early October??
