I have a notification to update to 6.2.B.0.200 jelly bean update.
Are there are lot of issues with this update?
Will it make my phone worse after update which is still on ICS?
Please let me know should I update or not based on all the users experience?
Thanks & Regards,
Manoj
Only issue is Camera and nothing else, i think you from india when updating do a clean install, factory reset and install. do it from SUS below is the link to download

6.2.B.0.211, Is it out in India?
Isnt it better to update directly to 211 if it will get released in a week or so?
1 more thing updating through sony companion has issues?
I think not. Although I prefer using Sony Update Service
About "should you update?" I think there is a lot of advantages and disadvanteges in this update and is up to you whether you like it more than ICS. I personally prefer ICS because video recording works perfect (I use it regularly), there is no purple tint when I use flash, gaming is more smooth as well as HDMI, "Tools" widget have Auto-sync option and etc. So if you use all this stuff regularly I suggest you to skip this update. But if this things don't bother you then you will like this update. The interface is smooth, Small apps are great, swipe unlock is better, Google Now, better Sony media apps, option to add/remove desktops and to change home desktop, Extended Standby mode, WAY FASTER Wi-Fi Connect than before (maybe 3 times faster), taking pictures while shooting video and etc. You decide

wat? really? You must be a very lucky person to pretend not to notice other bugs
Hi de-es,
Like i said i didn't face any bugs like 2g or wifi issue and never faced in older version also, after udating to JB faced screen unlocking issue found a thrid party screen lock is causing the issue after uninstalling now it's working fine, whenever i update i will do factory reset and will untick all backup and automatic restore option. and battery backup also now improved lot after a week, and some say heating issue but i feel it got reduced comparing to ics and Sony has changed the kernel which i really love it.
I'm facing only camera issues, but now i'm not able to take good shots
where i used to take lot of photos, only in normal mode it's coming good now.
Regards,
Andrew
Go ahead and update. My camera improved significantly in focusing and low light.
I'd definately suggest using Sony Update Servoce instead of PC Companion. It freed up storage with this fresh install by SUS, instead of an overlap/update through PCC.
Back up contacts, settings, etc. It kept my pics and music, messages and some of my prefs, contacts and settings I had to restore. Restoring was difficult, and eventually only worked if I did 1 thing at a time. Example, contacts, then settings, etc.
Runs much smoother than ICS. Battery better too, but after a couple of days of poor battery performance.
Neither the update nor the fresh install is perfect though. Google now just lists weather and time to get home. Google voice search turns web browsing into a speaking machine, reading the entire page out loud - very irritating. One other gripe, is that when I turn off the phone, it defaults some settings and removes some apps from the desktop. On restart, I have to restore pref's for wallpaper, keyboard and the notification bar, as well as replace removed app shortcuts.
Allow at least a couple of hours to backup, install and restore, and enjoy.

Who said anything about 2g and wifi issues? I don't have such problems too. But you can't deny the other issues I mentioned above because many will confirm them. I forgot to mention: lack of 3D sweep panorama and the fact that some widgets dissapear every reboot are also JB disadvantages. I wouldn't risk to void my warranty without reason (I say that because I downgraded to ICS)

Updating with PC Companion+Factory reset do the same thing as Sony Update Service so it doesn't matter which one you will use just remember to do backup before and factory reset+internal storage wipe after. It will make you phone like out of the box and you will assure that the bugs you will face aren't caused by junk.
