severe network issue

From two day's my network remain's off(i.e. It shows full network but displays ''emergency call only'' in the status bar and all calls remain inactive) when I pick my mobile in the mrng after keeping it idle at night.

What is the problem with it???

I am using the latest firmware and haven't installed any new app frm a few day's before...

Sounds like a network or SIM card issue, so if it's not the former, try a different SIM card.

i had network drops with .162 but .184 resolved this issue.....i haven't experienced a single network drop with the latest firmware...!!

Its not a damn networks issue!! m having the same problem and i have confirmed by checking the sim in other cell phones that its not a sim-problem!..So why don't u guys come up with some real solutions instead of just blaming it on carrier's network?

Absolutely...it's not the problem with SIM card.. as per advice by the super users I've checked with different SIM cards... even after the problem persists...

For sure it's the issue with the software as it was running very much fine at start when I've purchased the mobile..the problem starts only after I updated my phone to ICS..

speaking of network Facebook is down too. its been more than an hour worldwide servers for Facebook are down. question is, is it down or dead? network failure or Anonymous?

i even tried downgrading to GB but the problem still persists!!!...wht about you?...are u still facing this problem?

No I've not rooted yet...I had set my mobile network as GSM instead of by default WCDMA/GSM and MANUAL selection of operators. This helps some times.. waiting for the firmware update...

BTW a question to Sony support ... do I need to do a factory reset whenever I update my phone...I've view this suggestion somewhere and doubt if this would be solution to the problem..??
