Settings to lock phone after incorrect password attempts?

Where can I find the settings to lock my phone after a series of incorrect password attempts?

I don't quite understand. If you didn't unlock your device, you cannot access security settings.

I'm looking for the settings where you can adjust i.e. activate the 'phone lock' option after a number of incorrect password attempts. I remember seeing it somewhere but can't find it anymore. Any advice?

I don't know why I was suddenly forced to choose another nickname for this forum, but I am the same person who asked the intinial question.

I have no idea what activate phone lock you are talking about.  Was this related to a 3rd party app?

Was it myxperia? @Thommo do you know?

To my knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong) there is a setting which allows for the phone to lock when 5 consecutive incorrect password attempts were made. Am I wrong?

That is related to google if I remember correctly, and to unlock you need to either wait for 30 seconds ->1 minute or recover with your gmail account. However, I haven't noticed this on my Z1,it didn't offer me the option to recover with gmail.

This also sounds like you may need a PUK code - It's either on your Sim card packaging or you will have to contact your provider for the PUK code

PUK is required after 3 missed PIN codes.
