Settings on 4.42 notification area

Upgrade went smoothly but now the quick settings take longer to activate. Instead of being at the top of the screen I now have to switch tabs to change Bluetooth, sounds etc. honestly, which genius thought that was a good idea??

If I change to a different launcher is it possible that would change back to something more useful or is there another way to fix this? Thanks Slightly_smiling_Face

Nope, just use two fingers to drag the bar.

That's sad. I wonder if anyone asked for this feature? It would be good if I could at least change the text to say slow settings.

What text?

The text which says quick settings. No longer quick. Should now be labelled slow settings.
There is a fix for this on xda since many other users hate this pointless change. Busy rooting to apply the mod.

I think the design of CM is better...

It allow open the quick setting if you drop dwon in the right side, don't required 2 fingers

Yes I'm rooting to change this. Also for the benefit of seeing the back of pointless Sony bloatwear which update every few days, take up space on my phone and try to sell me services I will never buy. But that's a side benefit.

I bought this phone because I liked it. I'm in and out of this menu all the time to change sound and Bluetooth settings, often in strong sunlight and the immediacy of these large icons is a part of why I liked the phone. I could use it quickly and easily on a sunny day without fishing out my specs.

I liked it, I'm now stuck with it for 2 years and when it was changed there was no menu option to return to the useful drop down screen without which I would have bought something else.

So yes, it was good. Now it isn't and the only way I can fix it is a root mod.

CM - do you mean cyanogen?
