Hi I bought Xperia Z3 in Ebay and received today. I am checking one by one functions.
I am also having Xperia Z1. I used NITRO566X Micro SD XC1 Class 10 64GB. Its working perfectly in Xperia Z1. But I just inserted in Xperia Z3, it showing damaged SD card.
It not reformating it too.
Is my Xperia Z3 is not recognizing SD Card? Please give me solutions asap. I will go to service center then. Help me. I spent lot of money on this
Feel sad.
I love Sony thats why I bought all xperia series. Cant tolerate.
Try connecting your SD card to your Pc and reformatting it in exFat format and then connect the card to your phone and start the phone - Don't insert the card when your phone is switched on
Something like yellow color sticker inside my phone. I think I need replacement
It's not a sticker it's a pull out tab which contains your IMEI number and various other information about your phone
Hi Thommo, I tried what you said above . But now it detecting but not working. Xperia Z3 is not read the contents from the SD card. So that my Album, Music, Videos getting hang problem. Once I removed SD card its working quite fast.
Then I removed the same SD card and put in Xperia Z1 which I am using right now, the SD card working superb. So I guess the problem with my Xperia Z3 memory card slot read?
Please someone confirm it, I will go to service centre immediately.
Thanks,
Babu S
It could be something like your phone doesn't like your brand of SD card - Sounds stupid but I've seen it happen - If it has dirt etc then the sensitivity of the card reader may not be as high as the Z1 - Try cleaning the SD card connector plates and retrying or try another SD card to rule out a card reader issue but if it is then yes have your phone inspected
Hi Thommo,
Thanks for your reply. I went to service center and inspected. They tried 2GB and 32GB it was working fine in my Z3. But that Nitro 64GB only not working.
Do you know which memory card suit for my Z3 and for 4K recording, then I will buy 128GB and try to use it. Please let me know asap.
Thanks a lot.
I'm using Sandisk 16 and 32 GB cards with Z1, Z1 Compact and DSLR camera but it doesn't mean that they will work at 100%. But in general they are quite stable.
Avoid Kingston cards as they were known to cause issues with many Sony Electronics devices. I don't know if it has changed now.
Best option would be explain the problem to retailer and try to make a deal like 'I will open in shop and try. If works I get it'.
Can anyone know, for record 4K/HD video, which should be match? 94MB/45MB or 45MB/20MB ?
Is MicroSD XC read 94MB/ write 45MB best for Z3? if Yes, which brand?
I want 64GB microSDXC card foe my Z3.
