Screen problem since update

Evening Folks,

Looking for your input.

Updated my phone today and ever since when the screen is locked it appears that alothough it is black it is on, /hard to describe but just as if it is displaying a blak screen rather than the screen being off (and therefor jet blak).

Hope that makes sense. anyone else with the same issue?

Yeah it's a known issue with .254.  It's mentioned all over XDA as well.

You mean the power button doesn't actually switch in the display instead just showing a deep black(but the backlight is on)?Yep,everyone faced it and hated it.
