Screen Lock Widget help

The screen flickers and then I cannot control the lock screen widget. But the main problem is I cannot add music widget to the lock screen as in the list of widgets that I can add it does not show walkman
Thus to do any thing with music including volume control or play or pause I have to unlock the phone through my pattern lock.

As far as i know, the widget automatically shows up when you use the walkman. It isnt one of those widgets that you can permanently use on the lock screen. Just try playing a song then you should see it take over the main screen instead of the clock on your lock screen.

Test this and see if it works?

what if you are playing music, can you see the widget?

no widget.... nothing just the pattern lock and clock widget and if I swipe across it then it starts flickering...

Just a flickering widget like its searching for something.

I've had similar issue on Xperia Z Ultra, it's firmware bug which was solved in newer update

Have the Sony people even acknowledged this thing as a bug?
Are they aware?

Do you have the latest firmware?

update centre suggests phone is upto date.
