Screen keep on blinking and sudden death

Long story short

I gave my Z1 a wash at the sink and then suddenly the display goes wild, the screen goes extremely bright and then dim and cycles all over again.I knew it was water damage then i leave up my phone with flaps open(and quickly removed the SD card and sim card). Then i quickly open settings and enable usb debugging mode and hook it up with my pc via micro usb cable(success!!).I'd already installed Droid@Screen so i was able to monitor my phone on my pc even if the display was black.

Then it happened. The display was fully black(but the backlight was ON).I hooked it up to my PC and successfully did a Backup. Then doing "blindly" touch and open antutu benchmark and did stability test to heat up my phone and dry it(with the help of the "display",displayed on my PC"

After a while,my phone became normal and i did various test and all functioned perfectly including touch and ambient light sensor(at that time i still hook my phone) and then the screen blink wildly(extremely bright and then dim and cycles all over again). Also, when i was using my phone the popup for switch off phone came out.It was very annoying and also, the display all suddeenly became black. But here's the catch, when the display was off,the "display" displayed on my PC was also off.Meant that the phone was intentionally off(meaning there's a software glitch) and it wasn't because the hardware have failed.

Until now it still happening(the wild blink, display going off wildly and the "Switch off" popup.

So,what should i do know?I'd contacted Sony Xperia(and still waiting for their answer).

Should i do a software repair?Do you  think its software problem?Maybe hardware?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

As with everything hardware related you need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and ask for a pressure/vacuum test to be carried out http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Yea,i think so,will do that.Just one more thing,if the power fails to function,i could turn it off using the Hardware OFF button.

But then, how to turn it back on?

You can't unfortunately

I see.

*update

Everything is solved except for one.I can't put brightness more than 25%(with adapt to light conditions ON) or else the display might flick crazily.

Any ideas why?
