Screen goes blank but illuminated

Does anyone else have a problem with the screen going blank until you hit the lock/unlock button a couple of times? The symptom is usually when waking the phone, the backlight illuminates but I have a grey/black screen with nothing on it. This wasn't a problem until today when I was on a phone call which went to the person's answerphone and I couldn't disconnect the call as the screen looped through being locked and being illuminated but blank when I hit the unlock button several times to jolt it back into play.

May be a third party app disturbing your device, for checking this you have to boot your device in Safe Mode.

After check your device for a while so you better rectify the issue...

To enable safe mode

1. Turn off the phone.
2. Press and hold down the power key until the phone vibrates.
3. Wait until the Xperia™ logotype disappears.
4. Press and hold the volume down key until the phone vibrates. The phone then restarts in safe mode.

Note: To exit safe mode, restart the phone.
