Screen colors issue

Hi, I bought a Z3 compact tablet online a few weeks ago (maybe a month already).

I have an issue with the screen colors/brightness and I would like to ask if it is covered by the warranty.

Recently I started noticing an issue with the screen that really irritates me.

The top edge of the screen has some sort of defect.

It shows brighter than the rest of the display.

This shows when seing colors, bright images etc.

But not while displaying black.

It really irritates me when reading a book or watching some videos.

Here are some pictures that illustrate the problem that I am having :

Here you can see the white edge on top of flat gray color:

white on gray

Here you can see the white edge on the top: This is when viewing the settings of the tablet.

Is this problem covered by the product warranty ?

Unless the LCD is backlit then the top of all LCD screens have a very slim strip bulb so looking at your images it is this that you see - Laptop screen are a good example as they use both the bulb type and LED backlit

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have seen Z3 compact tablets in the store and they don't have the same problem.

I think the screen is led-backlit.

But any ferther discussion of what it is or isn't is irellevant as my real question is: "Is fixing it covered by warranty?".

Then you are asking in the wrong as we aren't able to comment on warranty and repairs as we aren't Sony and don't have any influence over Sony regarding these matters - Contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
