screen color inversion on sony xperia tablet z

what is this problem exactly? there is a permanent inversion of colors on the right side of the tablet. it does not move when I change orientation.

it does not appear when I take a screenshot. the photo is clear and does not show this

is it hardware or a fixable bug??

Can't see the images you posted, but the fact that the screeshot images are okay and display is inverted, suggest some sort of hardware issue. If you see the problem even after a hardware reset, then it could be a problem with the hardware (display interface). Your best bet is to take it to the nearest Sony service center..
