Yesterday i upgraded my Ray to ICS 4.0.4 firmware .587. Well in GB i got an option in messages>definitions named Saving Cost. This option unlock/lock special characters for example "ã, é, è". When i write sms messages i can see this characters in my device, but the receiver can only see weird characters when i use this characters. This happened to me when i had GB and then i found this option and fixed.
Right now i can't find this, does anyone know how can i activate this option? If there is a way.
Thanks and sorry for my english.
1. How do you update the ICS?
PC Companion (PCC) and Sony Update Service (SUS)
or Flashtool ?
2. You have a branded phone?
Clean install by SUS and then rooted using flashtool and kernels. Its sim-free. I will try to repair, may be the std.apk when i was removing the bloatware i have deleted this app. Don't know if its the cause. Be right back.
There are some options:
Flashtool been used over different firmware (some not contain)
some branded firmware not contain
you removed
May the problem is because of the kernel of other region ( Central europe) i used to flash my device? Im gonna reinstall everything.
Apply firmware ,,saving cost,, contains.
Well i discover the problem, the people that i sent sms's they somehow had the unicode off in their devices.
Thanks Veresova for your assistance.
cheers
