Rubber Seal Broken

Hi, My Self Sumit Tyagi From India.

from last 3 years i'm using xperia lineup. first one was Ray now i'm using Xperia Z. But I got a problem. That my charging slot rubber seal is broken and strip turned Red. But my phone is in excellent condition. i'm happy to see this. so i goto the service centre to replace that cover/seal rubber and they are saying they don't provide that seal. please please i want to get change that for happy future using/waterproofing.

please suggest me some help.

Dear Uliwooly,

The same with me also happens If you feel personally I am very much harrashed by customer service centre & Sony repair centre both. They are asking me 80% cost at this incident with my phone because due to this my phone's camera pictures having little black spots from inside & they are forcing me that I have used it without closing flap cover.

Pleasy give me a way so that it could be rapaired by sony under warranty so that in future I can use my phone with its waterproof feature..

yes that was sony authorised service centre. they are saying they dont replace that rubber seal. they only provide sim tray.  itold hem to ask their headquaters but they clearly say no. so i'm to ask to sny personally will they help me. i so tensed after that incident. please somebody tell me what to do. plz thanks in advance......

That sound very strange! I suggest that you contact your local support for more information because the service/repair is handled locally.

same problem , now   i got moisture in my phone n speaker is not working   indicator is pink

The rubber seal also fell off my usb port. 5 month old Xperia X. The Sony xperia store says they can't get a new one.
What to do please?

Hello,

I have the same problem with my 6 months old Xperia Z. My rubber seal at the USB port is broken, thus its not able to properly close the port. I don't dare to dunk in water, but it defeat the whole purpose of buying this phone. 

Are there any fixes from Sony? The seal are replacable right?

In case of the rubber seal broken, the complete flap gets changed and the cost in India is INR 450/- per flap. You can get the same replaced from any sony mobile service centre.:smileyhappy:
