Rotate homescreen without using the loadingdock. Xperia Z

Is there any way to make the homescreen rotet without the placing the phone in the dock??

But since it does rotate the homescreen when placed in the dock, it means it CAN rotate it. Then I don't see any reason why it shouldn't do this also when the phone is held sideways? Or is there some part of it that's not functional in landscape mode?

Older Xperia phones do have that settings. But apparently Sony has ecide to forgo that. Not sure why.:smileyhappy:

However, you can set auto-roate yourself by installing apps from Google Play. I'm using "Screen Rotation" for that, But the settings do not 'stick'. You have to run the apps again when you restart your phone. There are a lot of similar apps in Play. Maybe you can find out that stick.

That photo could be taken while using the sceen mirroring feature to a Sony TV. Once connected you can rotate the screen.
