Rooting Vzw R800x 2.3.4 firmware

Has anyone successfully rooted this firmware yet. I have tried to do this but I have been unsuccessful yet.

Any recommendations.

So far I have not had success with zergrush, SuperOneClick, or GingerBreak. i have tried all 3. GingerBreak just sits there. SuperOneClick dosent work. and ZergRush says it works but when I try to make changes or use RootChecker the phone is not rooted.

i checked on xda and it seems you can't root 2.3.4

but 2.3.3

Is there a roll back procedure so that I could go back to the stock 2.3.3 without voiding my warrantee?

Sony doesn't provide an option to downgrade

Well, that suxs.

I have never been completely happy with this phone. I think it has a lot of potential but it was not very well executed.

I hope the ICS update fixes things because I will probably never buy a Sony phone again.
