Hi.
I have a little bit complicated problem.
Some days ago I updated to ICS. I had a couple of reboot in the next to days, or I had to remove the battery because the power button was not working (then it was not possible to unlock the screen).
Then, when I run out of battery, I discovered it was not possible to charge anymore.
If I connect to the PC through USB, Win fails to find the MTP drivers (but I already used the phone on the PC), and it is even not charging the phone. PC companion fails to connect..ok the phone is off.
If I use the standard power supply, it is not charging. If I remove the battery, and then put in again, the led becomes green, but if I try to switch on, I have a small vibe but nothing else.
The green led dissapears and I have to repeat the procedure for the battery.
This lets me think it could be a SW problem in something like the boot up.
Do you have any idea how to solve the problem?
Try to repair your phone's software

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts, apps)
Update/Repair your phone via PCC or SUS
PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).
Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)
PC Companion http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/
SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe
or

Hi, I followed the procedure but probably it doesn't work.
I arrived at step 2, plugged in the USB in the mobile pressing the volume down, but nothing happened.
I only got a red led flashing on the phone, and the error from windows that it cannot recognize the USB device
I made a step forward...I repeated the procedure removing temporarerly the battery from the phone, not just switching off..
I went forward till point 4, but when I try to switch on the phone, I only get still the red flashing led....
You will have to charge your mobile for 2-3 hours atleast
After charging if it doesn't starts up then give software repair a go
Red led means battery is low
After some work I think I succeded to charge the battery (I had to plug-unplug the battery several times in order to have the led on for the charging).
Now every time I plug in the charger, the light is green.
No way to have it on, anyway.
I tried again a couple of times the SW repair, it had worked, but anyway all I get when I try to switch on is a small vibe, no real boot up.
You will have to get it check at support center then
