Rich Communication

Hello!

I have a Z3 Compact from Vodafone and i always get that rich communication message when i turn on mobile data and it's very annoying. I can't unninstall anything, there is nothing to unninstall. But I've found "Messaging service" app that i can disable. I see that it handles this rich communication service.

My question is: If i disable it, it affects anything else that this rich communication thing? I risk messing whith the normal messsaging service?

you can download a different messaging app or use hangouts and disable the preloaded messaging app.

Your phone should work just fine.

But i don't want to swich to another messaging app. I just want to know if i disable that app, will disable all the messaging  capabilities of the phone.

Rich communication is a Vodafone built in app so this issue you have is down to Vodafone

I know, but i was thinking if i disable that messaging service, i will get rid of that. My question was: messaging service refers to rich communcation only, or to all the messaging on the phone?

Check the Voadafone eforums they have have a few threads on this subject which is where I found out about RCS

Go to Settings=>Wireless&Networks=>More and below you have "Rich Communication" option which is default "checked". You can "uncheck" and then enjoy your phone

PS: I also did the same. Nothing weird happened

I don't have that in my menu... You disabled that messaging service?
